1. Kids have it good here... and then have to slave for two years in the name of National Service.
2. Our women take the lead. Not surprising when males are two years behind.
3. We care for causes... which benefit us.
4. We champion the underdog, and then they end up earning much more than us, the guys who slog through the normal route of education.
5. We love some (controlled) chaos, which isn't really chaos if it's controlled.
6. Our towkays got heart attacks from eating so much good food.
7. We're meticulous when it comes to taxes but whimsical when it comes to the opposition.
8. We grow our trash instead of reducing it.
9. We're a sports fan's paradise - cable TV lets local football fans watch foreign leagues.
10. We have a fab Orchard, where prices are fabulously high for all the fantastic tourists.

11. Upgrading is a way of life. Like our cost of living relative to our standard of living.
12. We value our diaspora, because all the valuable and smart Singaporeans have long fled.
13. Dreams still come true. However my dream of abolishing conscription will never, ever, be realised.
14. We love to teach the world to... do sums. Because that sums up all the things we're ever good at.
15. We've gone to Hollywood, returned, and have never gone back. Remember Fann Wong in Shanghai Knights? Yeah.
16. We grow our VIPs. Very Important Plants such as our dearest Ministers.
17. We let Kitty go to our heads. Especially when the Government takes from our kitty.
18. We fall in line, never out of line. Conformation is mandatory.
19. We laugh at ourselves - our disposition permits it.
20. We're ever Guinness ready, but it'll never happen since we already have Tiger Beer.

21. Our leaders are our friends. Trust me on this one, don't say otherwise.
22. We're proudly 'Made in S'pore'. Because 'Made in S'pore' means 'Made in China, India or Bangladesh'.
23. We share spaces, not out of choice, but out of necessity.
24. We celebrate talent with god-awful shows like Singapore Idol.
25. We pool resources, and then Temasek goes and loses them all.
26. We bend the rules... and then over for our strokes of the cane.
27. We make our own waves because nobody wants to give us a wave.
28. We love a good scare, like when the Workers' Party almost won over Aljunid GRC.
29. We believe in change in the USA, but not in Singapore or Myanmar.
30. We get it done pronto, like increasing electricity prices and transport fares, right?

31. We see beauty in the ungainly. No wonder our Miss Universe had to wear a gaudy Merlion suit.
32. We have icon mania. Especially for ungainly ones.
33. We're an indie-nation, but with state-influenced press.
34. We fashion our own trends - clearly, we do not follow mainstream American, Korean or Japanese culture.
35. We shop at home. Where else can we shop at?
36. We love our Singlish.
37. We're closet francophiles, yet we fashion our own trends.
38. We're short and sweet. That's what she said.
39. Our tech geeks rock-ed. Creative died long ago. What, have you been living under a rock?
40. Others want to be like us. Countries like Malaysia and Indonesia don't want to be like us. Hell, they don't even like us.

41. We've made eating a fine art. If other countries like France have not already done so - oh, wait.
42. We serve up delicious variety... shows from Taiwan on television.
43. Even our food follows fashion. I have to admit I'm confounded by this.
44. Our passions are enduring. Passions which include complaining.
