'lol fun musics' is quintessentially an experimental remix album - remixes of songs such as 'Butterfly' are included on the short, yet sweet album. The quality of music is consistent throughout, with interesting surprises included for most tracks. Highlights include: 'Tamil', a song with a fast, trippy beat, 'Oh Loli All ∑( ̄∀ ̄ )', an interesting fusion of dance, trance and headache-inducing sounds and 'ムギュ~♥!', a song which conjures an image of a dystopian future in my head whenever I listen to it. LOLI RIPE has certainly done it perfectly this time, bringing the Internet yet another well-crafted album choke-full of pleasurable music. You might, however, want to avoid '「・・・」', as it caused my head much grevieance.

Well well, it's another of my early morning escapades! This time I have decided to test Starhub's Internet speeds. What I have uncovered is very(well, maybe) interesting indeed:
  • Speeds can exceed advertised speed
  • Links to other countries suck a lot as expected
I'm on MaxOnline Express. It advertises a download speed of 6000kbps and I have not seen anything about it's upload speed. I estimate it to be around 256kbps. Tests were conducted around 4am, using a SB4100 modem and a Linksys BEFW11s4 router.

Results:

6810kpbs is much higher than advertised!

Speedtest's not pathetic too.

Downspeed to Japan and Hong Kong are not too shabby either. Pathetic upload speeds' hopefully due to shitty servers.

Surprisingly, speeds to America, Land of the Brave and Free, were better than expected.

Results for Europe were terrible.

Speeds to Australia, Africa and South America were similar to those of Europe's.

According to speedtest.net, in Singapore, Starhub's the best for download but the worst for upload.

Conclusion:
Starhub's good for downloading large amounts of data, but terrible if you want to upload anything. That's great news if you are a dedicated leecher, but not good at all if you're a seeder or if you need to upload much. A high latency to overseas servers forces gamers to stick to servers in Singapore. I'm certain that these speeds are nigh unobtainable if you intend to surf in the day due to traffic.

Also notable is the fact that Starhub has decided to block off certain sites and you will have to use a proxy to access them. Additionally, it's almost certain that Starhub performs port throttling for some ports. I have observed that connections to Singnet users are also rather high latency, so you might be in a shock if you decide to host a game for your friends on another ISP.

Keyboard update:
